James DeCinti is a shareholder of Pion, Nerone, Girman, Winslow & Smith, P.C, and operates out of the Harrisburg office. He practices in the areas of transportation law, insurance defense, motor vehicle accident litigation, premise liability, products liability, errors and omissions law, and personal injury law.
Mr. DeCinti has extensive litigation and trial experience in both state and federal courts. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Middle and Eastern Districts and the Court of Federal Claims. Jim maintains a BV® Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. This rating exemplifies distinguished reviews in both ethical standards and professional abilities from both the bench and bar.
Mr. DeCinti is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, as well as both the Dauphin and Cumberland County Bar Associations. He is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association (PMTA). Jim also serves on the Board of Directors of the South Central Chapter of PMTA.
Jim graduated from Wilkes University in 1987 with a B.A. in Communications. He attended the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law and graduated from Widener University School of Law in 1995. He is also an adjunct professor at Central Pennsylvania College in Summerdale, Pennsylvania.
Jim is originally from Wilkes-Barre, PA, and still maintains many professional and personal ties to Northeast PA. He has lived in East Pennsboro Township in Cumberland County for the past 16 years. Jim resides there with his wife and two teenage sons and remains active in their school and sports activities.
