Jeremy K. Knaebel is an associate of Pion, Nerone, Girman, Winslow & Smith, P.C. Mr. Knaebel concentrates his practice in the area of transportation law with a focus on complex civil and commercial litigation involving highly regulated industries including railroads and motor carriers. Mr. Knaebel has represented Class I, Class II and Class III railroads at the state and federal level and has successfully litigated crossing grade claims as well as traumatic and occupational injury claims brought under the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA). In additional to representing the transportation industry, Mr. Knaebel's practice also includes, construction defense, products liability defense, sophisticated insurance coverage disputes, and premises liability defense.
Mr. Knaebel is member of the Pennsylvania, Ohio and American Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of Pennsylvania, Ohio and the United States District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Knaebel has also presented appellate arguments before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and litigated cases in New York, West Virginia and New Jersey.
Mr. Knaebel was selected for inclusion in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® — Rising Stars Edition for the years 2015 and 2016.
Mr. Knaebel is a member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (NARTC), American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA), Keystone State Railroad Association (KSRRA) and Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM).
Mr. Knaebel graduated cum laude from Duquesne University Honors College in 2004 receiving a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology with a minor in Art History. Mr. Knaebel went on to receive his J.D from Duquesne University in 2008. Before joining P.N.G.W.& S., he practiced at a civil litigation firm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
