Joshua Leaver is an associate of Pion, Nerone, Girman, Winslow & Smith, P.C. Mr. Leaver joined the firm in the beginning of 2017. He concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of transportation law, catastrophic loss litigation, and general civil liability litigation. In addition to those practice areas, Mr. Leaver has experience in employment and labor law counseling and transactional work. Mr. Leaver is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Illinois, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Leaver practiced for several years at a large law firm specializing in insurance defense and medical malpractice litigation. During that time, he provided counsel to a variety of local, regional, and national businesses including: healthcare facilities; restaurants; commercial lenders; insurance companies; and professionals in the areas of corporate formation, commercial transactions, employment, licensing, policy implementation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Mr. Leaver is a 2011 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law with a dual degree in law and a Masters of Science in Human Resources and Employment Relations. While in law school, Mr. Leaver was an IOLTA Fellowship recipient and certified legal intern for North Penn Legal Services in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he represented indigent clients in various civil proceedings and advised local businesses on employment best practices and potential liabilities. Mr. Leaver also served as Managing Editor of the Yearbook on Arbitration and Mediation.
Mr. Leaver is a native of the Lehigh Valley and an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He currently resides in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
