Benjamin Sorisio | Principal
Benjamin Sorisio is a Principal Attorney with Pion, Nerone, Girman & Smith, P.C. Mr. Sorisio primarily practices in the areas of transportation law and construction law. In addition, he represents clients in matters involving products liability, premises liability, commercial litigation and insurance coverage in state and federal trial and appellate courts. Mr. Sorisio brings twenty-five years of experience in counseling clients in all aspects of their businesses, including risk management, and in representing clients in pre-suit claim resolution, alternative dispute resolution, litigation and trial.
Mr. Sorisio is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Mr. Sorisio graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science where he earned the University of Pittsburgh Merit Scholarship, the Semester at Sea Academic Scholarship, and served as the President of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. Mr. Sorisio obtained his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law. During law school, Mr. Sorisio served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Donetta W. Ambrose of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and as a Legal Intern for the United States Attorney’s Office – White Collar Crime Division in Pittsburgh. Prior to joining Pion Law, Mr. Sorisio practiced with two civil litigation firms in Pittsburgh where he specialized in the areas of transportation, construction and products liability law and complex commercial litigation.
