Christopher J. Hega | Principal

Christopher J. Hega is a principal attorney with Pion, Nerone, Girman & Smith, P.C. Mr. Hega concentrates his practice primarily in the area of transportation law.

Prior to joining Pion, Nerone, Girman & Smith, P.C., Mr. Hega focused his practice on complex litigation. His work included admiralty, maritime, real estate, premises liability and toxic tort matters, with a particular emphasis on asbestos claims. He has represented a wide range of companies in lawsuits involving alleged asbestos exposure and has managed all phases of mass tort litigation in thousands of cases across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Mr. Hega also has over 20 years of experience in federal income tax matters.

Mr. Hega is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State of West Virginia and State of Maryland. In addition to his state bar admissions, Mr. Hega is admitted to practice in the Western District of Pennsylvania, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Southern District of West Virginia and United States Tax Court.

Mr. Hega graduated from Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University in 2001. Mr. Hega is also a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Mr. Hega was a four-year starter for the Presidents baseball team and was named to the Presidents Athletic Conference Honor Roll.
