James DeCinti | Shareholder

James DeCinti is a shareholder of Pion, Nerone, Girman & Smith, P.C, and operates out of the Harrisburg office. He practices in the areas of transportation law, insurance defense, motor vehicle accident litigation, premise liability, products liability, and personal injury law.

Mr. DeCinti has extensive litigation and trial experience in both state and federal courts. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Middle and Eastern Districts and the Court of Federal Claims. Jim maintains a BV® Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. This rating exemplifies distinguished reviews in both ethical standards and professional abilities from both the bench and bar.

Mr. DeCinti is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, as well as both the Dauphin and Cumberland County Bar Associations. He is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), serving as the Chair of the Technology Committee, and the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association (PMTA).

Jim attended Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, and graduated from Wilkes University in 1987 with a B.A. in Communications. He attended the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law and graduated from Widener University School of Law in 1995.  He was previously an adjunct professor at Central Pennsylvania College in Summerdale, Pennsylvania.

Jim is originally from Wilkes-Barre, PA, and still maintains many professional and personal ties to Northeast PA.  He has lived in East Pennsboro Township in Cumberland County for over 25 years.  Jim resides there with his wife, Kim, and his dog, Lola.  He has two grown sons who are proud graduates of The Pennsylvania State University.
