Joshua Leaver | Associate

Joshua D. Leaver joined Pion, Nerone, Girman & Smith, P.C. at the beginning of 2017, after practicing for several years at an Am Law 100 firm specializing in insurance defense and medical malpractice litigation.  Mr. Leaver now concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of transportation law, catastrophic loss litigation, and general civil liability litigation.  In addition to litigation matters, Mr. Leaver serves as Advisory Legal Counsel to the Board of Directors for the Greater New Jersey Motorcoach Association (GNJMA).

Mr. Leaver is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Illinois, as well as the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey.  He is also a member of the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Dauphin County Bar Associations.

Mr. Leaver was educated at the Pennsylvania State University, where he graduated magna cum laude with dual degrees from the Dickinson School of Law (J.D., 2011) and the School of Labor and Employment Relations (M.S., 2012).  While attending Dickinson, he was the recipient of an IOLTA Fellowship and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for exceptional achievement in the study of Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing.  He also served as Managing Editor of the Yearbook on Arbitration and Mediation, and received a Certificate in Dispute Resolution and Advocacy.  Mr. Leaver was honored to be selected by his academic peers to deliver the Commencement Address on behalf of the 2011 Dickinson Graduating Class.

Mr. Leaver is a native of the Lehigh Valley and an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.  He resides in Lemoyne, PA with his wife, Julianna.
